License rules
Plain terms
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| How many computers? | One active installation per license. Buy a second subscription for a second workstation. |
| New computer? | Choose Move license to this computer on the new machine. It replaces the old server seat and costs one transfer. The default balance is 3, refilling by 1 every 30 days up to 3. License shows the server's balance and next refill date. |
| Reinstalling on the same computer? | One free same-computer re-activation per license per rolling 30 days; further re-activations use a transfer. See the allowance in License or contact support if locked out. |
| Selling or retiring a computer? | Choose Release license in Settings to free the server seat. Release costs one transfer in 1.0.0; do not release first if you will use Move. |
| Working offline? | Chromalith renews about once a week. Signed authorization lasts 30 days, with an additional 7-day grace if the server cannot be reached. License shows the expiry date. |
| Without a license? | Test Mask builds a downscaled preview, up to 1,024 pixels on the long edge. Your artwork and size settings don't change. Generating masks and final images needs an active license. |
| Canceling | Use the View/Edit Subscription link in your FastSpring order email. Uninstalling the plug-in does not cancel billing. Chromalith keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. |
| Refunds | Refund requests go through Adobe and FastSpring under Adobe's marketplace terms. |
The Terms of Service and End User License Agreement are the binding versions of these rules.
Pricing questions
Is there a free trial?
No timed trial. Without a license, Test Mask builds a downscaled preview of any artwork, up to 1,024 pixels on the long edge, so you can see how Chromalith handles your design before you subscribe. You can cancel any month.
Which billing plan is offered?
Chromalith launches at $9.95/month as a subscription. No free trial is offered.
Do I need a Creative Cloud subscription?
Yes. Chromalith runs inside Photoshop, so you need Photoshop through Creative Cloud. Chromalith is billed separately.
Can my whole shop use one license?
One license is active on one computer at a time. Each workstation that runs Chromalith needs its own subscription. Sharing or publishing a key is against the EULA and gets the key blocked.
