Install Chromalith
Chromalith is sold and installed through Adobe Exchange. Creative Cloud puts it into Photoshop for you.
Before you start
- Photoshop 2026 (27.2) or later, signed in with the Adobe account you'll buy with.
- The Creative Cloud desktop app running. It installs and updates Exchange plug-ins.
Install
- Open the Chromalith listing on Adobe Exchange and complete the purchase. Billing is handled by FastSpring, Adobe's payment partner.
- Creative Cloud installs the plug-in. If Photoshop was open, restart it.
- In Photoshop, open Plugins → Chromalith. The Chromalith panel opens and can be docked like any other panel.
- Check your email for the FastSpring order confirmation. It contains your license key. Continue with Activate your license.
Panel size. The panel works from 380 × 420 pixels up to 760 pixels wide. Around 480 pixels wide and the full height of your screen shows the most controls without scrolling.
Updates
Creative Cloud delivers updates to Exchange plug-ins. Export Settings before updating or reinstalling. A remove-then-install can delete the plug-in's data folder; that is not the same as an in-place Marketplace update. Settings retention will be rechecked at the first real Marketplace update. Import your settings backup if needed; keep separate backups of custom catalogs and presets.
Uninstall
Export Settings before removing Chromalith from the Creative Cloud desktop app's plug-in list. If you are retiring this computer, Release license in Settings frees its server seat and costs one transfer in 1.0.0. If you are moving to another computer, use Move on the new computer instead; do not Release first. Uninstalling does not cancel your subscription; see Canceling.
