Don't include your full license key or payment details. The last four characters of the key are enough for us to find it. We use your message only to answer it; see the Privacy Policy.

Frequently asked

Where is my license key?

In the order confirmation email from FastSpring, sent to the address you used on Adobe Exchange. Check spam if it isn't in your inbox. Keys look like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

It says my license is active on another computer.

Choose Move license to this computer after checking the balance and refill date in License. The default balance is 3, with +1 every 30 days up to 3. A recognized same-computer re-activation is free once per license per rolling 30 days; further re-activations or a different computer use a transfer. Release also costs one transfer in 1.0.0, so do not Release before a Move. If locked out after reinstalling, contact support@chromalith.com with your purchase reference and key's last four characters, never the full key.

Why can't I enlarge artwork with Trim transparent edges on?

Trim measures the visible composite, excluding transparent canvas margins. The native trimmed size is the default, and output cannot exceed that artwork's pixel width or height. Reduce the print size or upscale the artwork in Photoshop first. With the aspect lock on, the dimension you last edited is held and the other follows the trimmed proportions. Trim off keeps canvas-based sizing. See Image Sizing.

Does Chromalith upload my artwork?

No. All processing happens on your computer inside Photoshop. The license check sends your key, a random installation ID, operating system and architecture, processor model, logical core count, rounded memory amount, and plug-in version. It never sends artwork, file names or your home-directory path.

How do I cancel?

Use the View/Edit Subscription link in your FastSpring order email. Uninstalling Chromalith doesn't stop billing.

How do I get a refund?

Adobe and FastSpring process refunds for Adobe Exchange purchases. Contact Adobe Exchange support, or send us a message and we'll point you to the right place.

Can I use Chromalith output on products I sell?

Yes. Masks and final images you make are yours to print and sell, including designs that use Designer Studio shapes. You can't redistribute the shapes themselves as a shape pack. The EULA has the details.

Will my settings and catalogs survive an update?

Export Settings before updating or reinstalling, and keep separate backups of custom catalogs and presets outside the plug-in data folder. Uninstalling with Photoshop closed deletes that folder; an in-place Creative Cloud update is a different path. Retention will be checked after the first real Marketplace update. Import Settings restores your saved panel setup, not license credentials.
